Exploring Novel Many-Body States via Cavity QED

Farokh Mivehvar
University of Innsbruck, Austria

Experimental progresses in many-body cavity QED have opened a new avenue for exploring novel many-body physics. In this talk, after a brief review of the state of the art in cavity QED I will present some of our recent theoretical works on many-body cavity QED. These include emergent topological states in a Femi gas inside a linear cavity, disorder-driven density and spin self-ordering of a spinor Bose-Einstein condensate in a linear cavity, supersolid phase of a Bose-Einstein condensate inside a ring cavity, and topological Skyrmions in a spinor Bose-Einstein condensate in a ring cavity.
