We are investigating critical behavior and universality in an open quantum many-body system with competing unitary and dissipative dynamics, with the goal to establish driven dissipative dark state systems as a novel non-equilibrium universality class. An ideal framework are functional renormalization group equations, which we formulate in terms of a Markovian dissipative action.
