Junior Meeting 2020

The 2020 QSIT Junior Meeting took place on June 11, 2020, at 2 pm, this year in the virtual sphere.

Organizers were Lisa Gächter & Rebekka Garreis (Nanophysics group, ETH Zurich).

The idea of the Junior Meeting is to give junior members (PhD students and postdocs) of NCCR QSIT the opportunity to present topics of their field in an introductory way and to encourage scientific exchange with their young colleagues. Each group is encouraged to send at least one junior member to the conference, more are welcome.

In a great afternoon filled of discussions, four invited talks, experiments and get-to-know activities, the 26 participants had the chance to exchange and sozialise. Each participant handed in a ahort Downloadabstract (PDF, 169 KB) which helped to give an overview over the different topics within QSIT.

For those who were looking forward to this years meeting, a virtual meeting is only a morsel of comfort. This years participants will of course have the chance to get the full experience at next year's QSIT Junior Meeting 2021 (hopefully)!
