Junior Meeting 2019

June 3-6, 2019, Flumserberg

Organizers: Jann H. Ungerer & Olivier Faist (Schönenberger group)

44 students of NCCR QSIT took the chance to present their work at the QSIT Junior meeting 2019. During the 4 days of the meeting, every participant gave a 15 minute talk on their research followed by lots of questions by the audience.

In the evenings, two poster sessions enabled in-depth discussions of the research projects and networking. Every participant had the opportunity to present their poster in a 3-minutes pitch presentation. The prize for the best presentation was awarded by the organizers to Viktoria Yurgens from the Maletinsky group. Congratulations!

We enjoyed the hospitality and beauty of Flumserberg. As an afternoon activity, half of the group walked through the labyrinths of tunnels in the external pageGonzen Iron Mine. The other half learned how to traditionally fabricate Swiss mountain cheese at the cheese manufacturer external pageAlp Tannenboden.

The booklet with all the abstracts of the talks can be found Downloadhere (PDF, 41.3 MB).
